Visual designs
Human Rights Day 2009 on 10 December will focus on ending discrimination, which will also be a thematic focus of the UN human rights office throughout 2010. The Human Rights Day 2009 and discrimination design emblems are intended to promote awareness of the non-discrimination theme.
We would like to invite you to develop your own initiatives and make use of the visual designs. Read our “User’s guidelines” (PDF), complete the form and Waiver of Liability (PDF) and send it to us at: humanrightsday@ohchr.org. It is envisaged that the visual designs will be used primarily for information purposes.
The Human Rights Day 2009 design is intended for use until 10 December 2009. We encourage you to use the tagline through 2010.
There are three separate visual elements:
- a Human Rights Day 2009 design
- the tagline - Embrace diversity, End discrimination
- a combination of both
The green and red colours, together with greyscale of the letters represent the ideas of diversity and difference. The designs are available in English, French and Spanish and can be downloadable in the following formats: EPS (for use by graphic designers), PNG (for use in Word documents and on the Web) and Word (letterhead template).
