Why?

A child works with his father at a brick factory. © EPA/Wang BingyuBecause, on 21 February 2017, we will be discussing with States, businesses, trade unions, civil society, NHRIs and academics a practical tool to help States ensure that legislation and policies are in place to protect people whose economic, social and cultural rights are negatively affected by business activities.

This is an authoritative guidance for states, which is called “General Comment,” and our objective is to make sure that various voices, including yours, are heard.

How can you get your voice heard?

Join the live discussion

How can you influence the change in your country?

  • When the General Comment is adopted stand up for someone’s rights by letting your government, employers, trade unions, colleagues, friends and neighbours know about this general comment, and help them act on it.
