Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - 10th session

Please note: the Committee's 10th session will take place at the Palais Wilson, Ground Floor Conference Room
All participants in Committee sessions will require accreditation to the session to have access to the conference venue, except individuals who are already in possession of UN badges. To obtain accreditation, please fill out the accreditation form (pdf and Word), sign and send it by fax to 0041-22-917 9008, or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to ensure the accreditation of participants, all requests for accreditation should reach OHCHR by 27 August 2013, at the latest. Accreditation within the deadline will enable participants to obtain their badges at the Palais Wilson Security Gate.
Organization of lunch briefings and "side events"
During its 9th session, the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities decided to establish a working group to prepare guidelines for the participation of non-governmental organizations and organizations of persons with disabilities in the Committee's meetings.
Organizations of lunch briefings and "side events", during the 10th session (2-13 September): organizers are requested to send a note to the CRPD Secretariat, no later than 2 August 2013, indicating the day and the time of the event, as well as the number of speakers who will participate and the organizations they represent. Lunch briefings will take place in the ground floor conference room at Palais Wilson. In case of overlapping requests, the Secretariat will consult with the Chairperson on the allocation of time slots.
Draft General Comment on article 6 of the UNCRPD
During the 9th session, and the Committee held a Half Day of General Discussion on the Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities. As a result of this discussion with different stakeholders, the Committee decided to establish a Working Group to draft a General Comment on article 6 of the UNCRPD:
