A. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
! FOCUS: The establishment or effective functioning of national preventive mechanisms (NPMs)
In 2018, the OPCAT Special Fund will accept project applications aimed at implementing recommendations made by the Sub-Committee on Prevention of Torture after a visit to a State party, provided these recommendations are contained in a report that has been made public in accordance with article 16(2) of OPCAT. The proposed projects should aim to contribute to the implementation of country-specific recommendations on
the establishment or effective functioning of national preventive mechanisms.
The maximum amount of a grant is
US$ 25,000. The application should reach the OPCAT Fund Secretariat before
1 March 2018.

B. HOW TO APPLY
All applicants are requested to agree with the Guidelines for the Applicants and the Grantees and confirm their adherence to them by signing the Application Form. All applicants are requested to submit duly filled and signed Application Form, Budget Form and Banking Information Form to the OPCAT SF Secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) before
1 March 2018.

Upon receipt of the grant, grantees are requested to fill in and sign the receipt form, and return it to the OPCAT SF Secretariat (email@example.com)

C. HOW TO REPORT
All grantees shall provide a narrative and financial report on the use of the grant by
1 March of the year following the year of project implementation.

All first time grantees must be audited by a certified external auditor. Other grantees may be randomly selected for the audit on the use of the grant.
