8th phase (2012-2013) of the ACT Project
In April 2012, the eighth phase (2012-2013) of the ACT Project was launched to promote human rights education, training and public information activities carried out by civil society organizations in 9 countries and territories. As done previously, this phase is organized jointly by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Programme.
Thematic focus
The eighth phase supports proposals for human rights education activities on issues covered by any of the six thematic priorities of OHCHR for the 2012-2013 biennium, which are: discrimination; impunity and the rule of law; economic, social and cultural rights; migration; violence and insecurity; and international human rights mechanisms.
Participating countries
The following countries and territories have been selected to participate in the eighth phase. Applications from other countries will not be considered.
