Allegation letters sent by the mandate

Since 2011, the Special Rapporteur has acted in response to a number of individual complaints, by sending allegation letters to the concerned State either jointly with other special procedure mandate-holders or independently, inviting comment on the allegation, seeking clarification, reminding the Government of its obligations under international law and requesting information, where relevant, on steps being taken by the authorities to redress the situation in question.

All the allegation letters and joint allegation letters in which the  poverty mandate has participated or led from December 2011 - November 2013  are collected in this document, with hyperlinks to the original allegation letters and any replies from the concerned State. All the allegation letters listed have now been  published in one of the joint communications reports of special procedures. Allegation letters sent after 30 November 2013 will be included in a future joint communications report.
