United Arab Emirates (Vivere)

300 victims of human trafficking will benefit this year from a grant of US$ 10,000 for the implementation of the project titled “Protection and Assistance to Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings in the United Arab Emirates”.

Background of the organization:

Founded in 1999, this organization assists victims of human trafficking.

Goals of the project:

  • Identify, assist, protect and ensure legal repatriation of the victims to their respective homelands.
  • Alleviate the threats on suffering of victims of trafficking confined by force in the United Arab Emirates by returning them to freedom.

Main activities:

  • Raise awareness of United Arab Emirates authorities and influence policies process regarding Human Rights and Trafficking in human beings.
  • Implement a bureau in Dubai to accelerate legal repatriation of East European victims from the United Arab Emirates with a permanent highly qualified social/jurist case worker
  • Shelter for temporary protection and comprehensive support of the victims during the process of preparing their repatriation.
