In considering all available versions no distinction has been made between language, vernacular, dialect, and language variety, since any of them as a means of communication, be it an official or a home spoken language, serves the purpose of global dissemination.

Efforts have been made to select the official or best available translations, produce new translations in widely spoken languages, and most of all make them easily accessible to the public. It should be noted, however, that OHCHR bears no responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the non-official United Nations language versions. OHCHR would appreciate receiving any feedback in this sense by competent agencies.
