تمويل التنمية لا يتوقف على المال بقدر ما يتوقف على الإرادة والطموح والتراحم. وفي بيان قُرأ بالنيابة عنه في اليوم الأخير من المؤتمر الدولي الثالث لتمويل التنمية، دعا مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان، زيد رعد الحسين، الدول والمجتمع المدني والمصالح التجارية الخاصة وغيرها من الجهات إلى اغتنام الفرصة لإتاحة تحرر الناس في جميع أرجاء العالم من الفقر والفاقة.
