The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) are currently preparing a public report on the situation of human rights defenders in the Americas. The report falls under the general framework to enhance cooperation between OHCHR and the IACHR (2014 Joint Declaration), and will be launched late in 2019.
To this end, OHCHR and the IACHR have prepared a “Questionnaire on the situation of human rights defenders in the Americas” for States, National Human Rights Institutions, civil society organisations and human rights defenders. Please send your responses to adesouza@ohchr.org, using the email title: “Joint report: Submissions to the Questionnaire”. Where possible please limit the response to each question in the survey to 500 words.
Contributions will be published on this page as they become available.
