Human Rights Council review - Informal initiatives on the Council review

In anticipation and preparation for the Council review, a number of informal initiatives were launched by Member States and observers and brainstorming discussions have been held. Among these, are the following:

• Reports of the Algiers Retreat and of the meetings of the Reflection Group in Mexico and in Paris as well as the Montreux Seminar
• Russian Federation non-paper on the HRC Review modalities
• Switzerland's views on the process and modalities of the Human Rights Council Review
• Other stakeholder contributions

• 10 Principles to guide a successful outcome of the Review of the UN Human Rights Council as it relates to the Special Procedures
