Nazhat Shameem Khan, President of the 15th Cycle
Nazhat Shameem Khan has served as the Permanent Representative of Fiji to the United Nations Office at Geneva since 2014.
Ms. Khan was elected to the 2021 presidency of the Human Rights Council on 15 January 2021.
She said: “It is a great honour to be elected President of the Human Rights Council, and I express my gratitude to all its members for entrusting me with this task. I commit to doing my best, and I look forward to working with all stakeholders in ensuring that this year is a success, not only for the work of this Council, but also for the promotion and protection of human rights for all people.”
