Human Rights Council Adopts 11 Resolutions and a Presidential Statement29 September 2017
The Human Rights Council on 29 September 2017 requested the High Commissioner (through Resolution
A/HRC/RES/36/31) to “Establish a Group of Eminent International and Regional Experts with knowledge on human rights law and the context of Yemen for a period of at least one year, renewable as authorized”
Operational Paragraphs 12 and 14 of the resolution provide the following mandate to the Group of Eminent Experts:
The Group of Eminent Experts on Yemen invites interested individuals, groups and organisations to submit information and/or documentation relevant to its mandate as outlined above, in particular on allegations of human rights violations and abuses and international humanitarian law violations committed in Yemen
since September 2014.
The Group of Eminent Experts accepts submissions in the English and Arabic languages at:
The final deadline for information is 1 June 2018.
Submissions should include the name(s) and contact details of the author(s).
Submitting entities/individuals should specify if their submissions, or parts of them, should be treated confidentially, and if so, which.
Please note that individual acknowledgements of receipt of information will not be sent to the author(s) unless specifically requested.
