OPCAT advisory visits
An OPCAT advisory visit is devised to help States Parties in fully implement their obligations set out in the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (OPCAT). They are short visits, focussing on high-level talks with senior government officials of the relevant ministries and bodies, as well as civil society representatives and any other relevant entities.
