Requests for accreditation should be made
online through the platform below to the Secretariat of the Universal Periodic Review as from 19 October 2020. Please allow three working days for your request to be processed.
Online request for accreditation:
Representatives who possess a UNOG or UNHQ badge giving them access to the conference room will have unrestricted access to the respective room. However, they are also requested to register in the online system.
Representatives who do not hold an identification badge issued by the Security and Safety Section of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) or United Nations Headquarters in New York (UNHQ) should apply through the online platform and, upon presentation of identification and a copy of the confirmation email/e-ticket, a photo-badge valid for the session will be issued at the "Pregny Gate" security entrance.
Palais des Nations – Security entrance Pregny gate, 8-14 Avenue de la Paix 1211 Geneva 10
Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please Note: When there are a large number of persons seeking to participate in a session, the Secretariat may limit the number of accredited participants.
For NGO participants
UNOG Security will issue one generic badge ("floating secondary badge") for each NGO with representatives registered through INDICO. This specific badge will not indicate the name of the person, but will be associated to the NGO. The badge is not personal, and it can therefore be shared among representatives of the same NGO. It will have to be collected by one NGO representative at Pregny Gate
as of Friday 30 October, from 2:00 p.m.
Please note that only representatives wearing their personal badge (either annual/temporary grounds pass or a conference badge) as well as the secondary floating badge, will be able to access the Assembly Hall and Room XII. For more information, please see the Information Note for NGOs on UPR WG36.
