Training guide on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Following the entry into force of the Convention and its Optional Protocol, OHCHR has developed this Training Guide to help build the capacity of national stakeholders to implement these two instruments. The Training Guide seeks to provide basic information on the human rights-based approach to disability, on the fundamental elements of the Convention and its Optional Protocol, and on the processes and issues underlying their ratification, implementation and monitoring. The Training Guide can be used to develop a training course, but is also helpful as a general information resource on the Convention and the Optional Protocol. OHCHR also developed training modules to facilitate the delivery of training. Here you can find both resources in all UN languages.
