Access to information in international organizations
In August of 2016, the Special Rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression announced that he would be conducting a study “exploring the scope of the right of access to information within international organizations, including those within the United Nations system.” He issued a call for submissions, generating nearly twenty responses from organizations and civil society.
The Special Rapporteur would like to invite you to participate in a consultation on the morning of 16 June at United Nations Headquarters in Geneva. At the consultation, he will present his preliminary conclusions from the study and seek input and reactions. For further information and participation, please contact Ms. Azin Tadjdini (firstname.lastname@example.org).
