Background

This is a Nilo-Saharan language. The people who speak this language are called Fur and their original home land is Darfur in west Sudan. Darfur as a region was named after them “Fur”. The word Darfur is an Arabic word which means homeland of Fur people.
Fur people are originally from Darfur but they are significant numbers scattered all over Sudan particularly in Khartoum the capital city, Al Jazeera State, Al Qadarif region in big numbers..
