Key questions and types of input/comments sought
In accordance with the established practice of Special Procedures, the Special Rapporteur welcomes all relevant submissions that any stakeholders may wish to transmit for his consideration in preparation of this visit, such as:
- Recent analytical reports or surveys relating to the mandate of the Special Rapporteur;
- Information on relevant policies, programs and legal frameworks at federal, state and territorial, and municipal levels, including draft legislation;
- Priority issues/concerns and situations that warrant the attention of the Special Rapporteur, including business conduct in relevant sectors and implementation of human rights due diligence policies, as well as any gaps in this regard;
- Suggestions on issues to examine and related locations to visit, including outside of capitals;
- Contact information of civil society organisations, trade unions, human rights defenders/anti-slavery activists, businesses/investors, employers’ organizations, academics and other organisations to meet in different locations with description of their relevance to the mandate;
- Information on labour exploitation of individuals or groups in agriculture, cattle ranching, deforestation/logging, charcoal burning, mining, construction, domestic work, commercial sexual exploitation and other sectors of the formal and/or informal economy.
- Labour exploitation as affecting workers which face particular risks including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, persons with disabilities; Indigenous Peoples, people of African descent; persons belonging to a linguistic, religious or ethnic minority, persons deprived of liberty, persons in situations of homelessness as well as women and children.
How inputs will be used?
All inputs will be treated confidentially by the Special Rapporteur and his team and for the sole purpose of preparing for the county visit.
Reports, academic studies and other types of background materials can be attached as an annex to the submission.
