The report was submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 70/147 on the protection of migrants. In the resolution, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly and the Human Rights Council at their seventy-first and thirty-third sessions, respectively, a comprehensive report entitled “Human rights of migrants”, covering all aspects of the implementation of the resolution.
