In the present report, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights describes the situation of human rights in Honduras from 1 January to 31 December 2019.

The High Commissioner highlights key human rights advances and challenges related to poverty and economic and social issues, corruption, business and human rights, migration, health, violence and insecurity, judicial independence and democratic space, with a focus on the situation of human rights defenders, journalists, individuals deprived of their liberty, indigenous peoples and persons of African descent, persons with disabilities, women and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people.

The report highlights some of the activities of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Honduras and concludes with recommendations.
