The present report of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, Felipe González Morales, contains the findings from his visit to Belarus, which took place from 16 to 20 July 2022.

During his visit, the Special Rapporteur met with relevant governmental authorities, representatives of the Belarusian Red Cross, the United Nations country team, and a few refugees residing in the country.

The main objective of the Special Rapporteur’s visit was to assess the situation of human rights of migrants at the border between Belarus and Poland.The findings concerning his official visit to Poland from 12 to 15 July and 21 to 25 July are available in a separate addendum (A/HRC/53/26/Add.1) to the main report of the Special Rapporteur.
