Background

Pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 33/25, the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples decided, at its fifteen session, held in July 2022, to prepare a report on establishing effective monitoring mechanisms at the national and regional levels for implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Expert seminar

The Expert Mechanism will hold a closed expert seminar on this theme which will take place in a hybrid mode at the University of British Colombia, in Vancouver from 23-24 February, 2023.
