Fourth cycle (2022-2027) focus: enhanced implementation of UPR recommendations

During the 4th cycle, the Universal Periodic Review process will be strengthened through enhanced implementation of key human rights recommendations, with the support of the UPR Funds.

To that end, in October 2022, the Human Rights Council adopted by consensus resolution 51/30. This resolution calls for the strengthening of the voluntary funds for the universal periodic review via the scaling up of OHCHR capacity in support of UPR in all its regional offices, among other things.
