BACKGROUND

Minjiang Dialect is a dialect of Chinese Language, most of the native-speakers of which live in the basin of Minjiang River, a branch of Yangtze River in Sichuan Province. In the main it is similar to the Chinese dialect in Chengdu City and Chongqing City, while the pronounce of some words are special. Minjiang Dialect can be used in both written and spoken forms. The spoken form, which is more popular and easier to understand, is applied in this version. Normally the native-speakers have been using Chinese characters. To show the pronounce more directly, Xi Lu, namely the translator, has used Latin characters to translate UDHR into Minjiang Dialect.
