BACKGROUND

The language used in the translation is Tyrung, a minority language in Yunnan Province, China.

The alternative name of it is Dulong, as well as Dulong Yu (独龙语in Chinese). This name is taken from Dulong River, a large river beside the main domicile of this minority.

Tyrung is a member of Tibeto-Burman branch of Sino-Tibetan languages. Tyrung has no its own characters, as a result, the translator have applied Latin characters to translate UDHR into this language.
