UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk to visit Serbia

GENEVA – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk will conduct an official visit to Serbia on 20 and 21 May 2025.

In Belgrade, Türk is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Đuro Macut and a number of other senior State officials. The UN Human Rights Chief will also meet members of civil society, representatives of diplomatic missions and the UN Country Team.

He is also scheduled to address the media, with access strictly limited to accredited journalists. The details will be announced locally.

The visit is part of a regional trip, in which Türk will also visit Montenegro.
