Young people to fight impunity in Madagascar

GENEVA (16 September 2022) – The UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances will hold its 128^th session from 19 to 28 September 2022 to examine 696 cases from 21 countries.

In the spirit of its humanitarian mandate, the Working Group will also review allegations received concerning acts tantamount to enforced disappearances perpetrated by non-state actors, and document these cases.

GENEVA (16 September 2022) -- The UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment, David R. Boyd, will visit Portugal from 19 to 27 September.

The Special Rapporteur’s visit at the invitation of the Government follows a challenging summer from a climate perspective, as heat waves and wildfires have seriously affected the country, and elsewhere around the world.

GENEVA (16 September 2022) – UN experts said today human rights defenders documenting and responding to atrocities by Myanmar's military junta urgently need comprehensive support, including financial, and called on the international community to end apparent indifference to the violence targeting the country's population.
