Summary

This Training Package is the complement to the Reporting under the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance: Training Guide (Part I – Manual). It is composed of 9 modules (module 0 to module 8), which can be used for developing training sessions. The modules can be found below.

The Training Package has been designed to assist facilitators in preparing and delivering training sessions on the contents of the Convention and the Committee and its functions. Sessions are ideally intended for relatively small groups of up to a maximum of 25 participants. The training sessions may comprise a mix of presentation slides and group activities and include different components: facilitators’ notes, session plans, presentation slides, videos, quizzes, etc. The training sessions are based on a methodology developed by OHCHR,  using a participatory approach. This approach encourages discussions and exchanges with and among the participants. The sessions may be designed in such a way that, if necessary, they can be conducted entirely online.
