Mandate

The mandate of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Syrian Arab Republic was established by Human Rights Council resolution A/HRC/RES/S-18/1 and will begin once the International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic ends. Mr. Paulo Sérgio PINHEIRO (Brazil) has been appointed as the mandate-holder.
